Welcome back to the kitchen table. Much like the constant need for diaper changes and the patience of potty training, our lives as Christians reflect a repeated need to come back to God for cleansing. Just as children frequently need help as they grow, we also find ourselves returning to God, in need of his grace again and again.
1 John 1:9 reminds us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us… and to cleanse us.” Just like a parent isn’t angry every time they have to clean up their child, God isn’t frustrated with us. He’s glad we come back to Him.
Romans 7 highlights our struggle, as we often fall short despite our intentions. Yet, there’s no shame in seeking God’s cleansing again. Each time, he welcomes us with open arms.
In these moments, we’re reminded that God’s love and patience are never-ending. Each time we ask for help, it’s a moment of worship, knowing he’s always ready to make us clean again.
